Zucchinis are a popular summer fruiting plant. Black Beauty is prolific fruiting and very easy to grow. It spreads as it gets older and can dominate a 2m+ space by the end of Summer. Don't let this put you off - you can pick up the sprawling parts and gently place them where you'd prefer them to grow.
Once it starts bearing, check your plant twice a day. What seems like a baby zucchini in the morning one day can be the size of a marrow the next.

Zucchini 'Black Beauty'
Grow in full sun in fertile well drained soil. Mulch heavily and water regularly (Heavy bearers are thirsty!!).
Avoid overhead watering as wet leaves promote powdery mildew.
