Melissa officinalis

Lemon Balm is a clump-forming perennial that grows up to 30cm high.  Plants grown in shade tend to be larger and more succulent.

Lemon Balm is a companion to fruit trees, alliums, tomatoes and roses and has a delicate flowery lemon flavour.

Add it to salads, fruit, drinks dressing and sauces. An infusion of Lemon Balm makes a refreshing uplifting tea served either hot or cold. Yummy in a tea with cumquat and ginger.
